What is
Skincare?
The skin is the largest organ on the body and it works hard every single day to protect you from the harsh environmental elements. Constant exposure to sun, smoking and pollution prematurely ages the skin leaving it dry, wrinkly, thin, sun damaged, and “old” looking. Whether you have melasma, age spots, fine lines and wrinkles, dry skin, acne, dark spots, rough texture, saggy skin - I can help you create a customized treatment plan to give you the skin you’ve always dreamed of. I offer ZO Skin Health medical grade skincare products to help obtain your skin goals. Unlike store brought brands, medical grade skincare are specially formulated by leading experts to provide proven, visible results at a cellular level. Medical grade skincare offer higher concentration of potent and active ingredients, with years of clinical research, to target specific skin conditions. ZO® provides comprehensive solutions for creating and maintain healthy skin for anyone regardless of their unique skin condition, age, ethnicity, or skin type. Get started on your flawless skin journey today. Every plan is created personally by Vivi Nguyen, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, a nurse practitioner with a background in dermatology and plastic surgery.
Why is medical-grade skincare the foundation of everything?
Because healthy skin is the base that every other treatment is built on, and injectables are the boost on top, not the fix. I tell every patient the same thing: no amount of Botox or filler will fix pigmentation, dullness, thin or crepey skin, or lost elasticity. Those come down to skin quality. Botox relaxes muscles and filler restores volume, but if the skin itself is damaged, you are putting a band-aid over the real problem and you end up needing more and more product to chase it. Medical-grade skincare treats the actual cause. It is also the most honest value in aesthetics. As I remind my patients, nobody stops you in the grocery store to say your cheek filler looks amazing. They stop you to ask what you are using because your skin looks incredible. That is the compliment people actually get, and it starts here.
Does living in Florida change what my skin needs?
It does, and it is why I am so insistent about this. We live in Florida, which means nearly everyone is a sun worshipper, and sun exposure is the single biggest driver of the premature aging, pigmentation, and melasma I see every day. Eight or nine out of ten of my patients have never used a real medical-grade regimen before coming to me, usually a bar of soap and nothing else, and it shows. A Florida routine has to do more than moisturize. It needs consistent daily sun protection, ingredients that address the pigment our climate brings out, and support for the skin barrier that heat and humidity wear down. I build each plan around your specific skin and how much sun your lifestyle actually involves, so we are protecting and correcting at the same time.
How does good skincare make my Botox and filler results better?
Healthy skin makes every injectable look better and last longer, and over time it means you need less of them. Here is the way I explain it: Botox and dermal filler give you a temporary correction, but they sit in skin that is still aging underneath. When the skin itself is thicker, more even, and better hydrated from a real regimen, the results settle more naturally and the whole face reads as healthier. Patients who commit to their skincare almost always end up using fewer syringes and fewer units to get the look they want, because we are not asking injectables to make up for skin that is being neglected. That is why skincare is step one in every plan I build, before we ever talk about needles.
