What is
Botox?
Neurotoxins, like Botox, Dysport & Xeomin, is the #1 non-surgical cosmetic treatment in America to help diminish fine lines and wrinkles! It works by blocking the release of the electrical messengers from your muscles to the brain, temporarily putting the muscles to “sleep” and prevent the muscle contractions. Repetitive facial movements (raising eyebrows, smiling, furrowing eyebrows, puckering of the lips) cause indentations of the skin, often seen as wrinkles and fine lines. Over time, the lines become deep creases and causes premature aging in your appearance. Botox can help prevent and treat the wrinkles and lines, creating a smoother and more youthful look.

Botox can be injected into the wrinkles on forehead, inbetween the brows “11s”, wrinkles around the eyes (crow’s feet), by the nose (bunny lines), smoker lines (around the lips), chin (dimpling), platysma bands, masseter muscles for TMJ pain/grinding/clenching and facial slimming, migraines, and armpit for excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis).
The masseter muscles are muscles that in the jaw that helps with chewing. When people have excessive grinding of the teeth, clenching or TMJ, they may experience jaw pain or even headaches. Botox is injected into the masseter muscles to help reduce jaw pain and provide relief.
Hyperhidrosis is excessive sweating of the armpits. Botox can be injected in this area to reduce sweating by putting the sweat glands to “sleep.”

The 4-hour rule for Botox means you should remain upright and avoid bending over, lying down, or exercising for at least 4 hours after your injection. Bending over can cause the Botox to migrate from the injection site before it fully sets, leading to unintended muscle relaxation in adjacent areas.
Yes. Masseter Botox relaxes the large jaw muscles, which reduces jaw width over time and also helps with teeth grinding (bruxism) and TMJ discomfort. Results develop over 4 to 6 weeks and last 4 to 6 months.
